Back in 2015, Jelani Maraj, the 38-year-old brother of rapper Nicki Minaj, was arrested in connection to a predatory sexual assault case involving his 11-year-old stepdaughter.
Two years later, Maraj was convicted on charges of endangering the welfare of a child and predatory sexual assault on a child younger than 13 years old.
Now, as Maraj awaits sentencing, his mother, Carol Maraj, is looking to set the record straight about her son’s trial in a new tell-all interview.
Ms. Carol took to Twitter on Sunday to announce the details of her “shocking interview,” which is set to take place on August 8th and 11th.
“Watch the Hip-Hop ‘Hood Report With Charles Fisher & the ‘Fitness Sheriff’ as I share the SHOCKING NEWS the COURT DON’T WANT YOU TO KNOW in a TELL ALL INTERVIEW about my son’s TRIAL,” she wrote, adding a link to the stream.
In the meantime, Nicki Minaj is considering delaying her album, “Queen,” which is set for an Aug. 10th release, for an extra sample clearance. If Ms. Carol does decide to go through with the interview, do you think Nicki should push back her date?
