On Tuesday, Nicole Murphy joined Wendy Williams on the purple couch to talk her new fitness app and skincare line. However, during the discussion, the 51-year-old model also shared exclusive details about her recent kissing scandal with a married director, Antoine Fuqua.
Back in July, Murphy was spotted locking lips with the married director, while the two were in Italy for a film festival. Although Murphy initially claimed the two were friends, she eventually apologized for the incident, saying, “I do not condone women kissing or interacting in any way inappropriately with a married man,” as sources added that she thought Fuqua’s marriage to Lela Rochon was “over.”
But now, she says she was under the wrong impression, and she’s incredibly remorseful.
“It was a frozen in time thing,” Murphy explained about the make-out session. “Trust me, I wish it didn’t happen. It was a moment where I should’ve thought more through the situation. Make better judgments. It’s something I apologized for.”
As she continued, she revealed that she didn’t release the statement claiming the two were longtime family friends. “I did not put out that statement,” she said. “I did not release that statement, Wendy.”
But before the segment wrapped, she offered another apology to Fuqua’s wife and denied claims that she ruined the couple’s marriage.
“It was a moment that should not have happened. I regret it,” Murphy said. “I apologize for it. I’m a human being it was a mistake. At the moment, maybe I had a different impression of [their marriage]”
But, “Darling, it was a mistake,” Murphy added, in a message to Rochon. “I apologize.”
