A resurfaced interview of Nipsey Hussle is sparking new conversations online, especially in light of the recent wave of controversy involving DJ Akademiks and Wack 100.
Earlier this week, DJ Akademiks shared alleged court documents on livestream, claiming Wack 100 sent him paperwork that accused Nipsey Hussle of misconduct involving a minor back in 2008. The source of the documents was an Instagram page, and Wack backed the claims, calling them public record while telling Akademiks, “I don’t got to confirm what I already know.”

However, fans quickly pointed out that Nipsey Hussle had already addressed those same allegations publicly years ago.
In the clip, which appears to be from the late 2000s, Nipsey explains that the situation stemmed from a misunderstanding after a party. He said the location was raided, and photos surfaced of him and others with a girl who turned out to be underage, although she had initially lied about her age. He emphasized that nothing happened between them and called the charges “bogus.”
“She came with some trumped-up charges because she ain’t want to admit to her mom she was ditching school to be at a party,” Nipsey said in the interview. “I didn’t do nothing with the girl. She just got caught in a situation she wasn’t supposed to be in.”
He also revealed that he spent nearly two months in county jail before the case was dismissed at his second court appearance.
“I beat my case in two months,” he said. “That was just some hood politics turned legal.”
Supporters of Nipsey are calling out Wack 100 for trying to resurrect a cleared case and using it to stir controversy. Many say the resurfaced clip shows that the rapper already took accountability and was exonerated, years before his passing.
This isn’t the first time Wack has been criticized for his comments about Nipsey. He’s previously questioned Nipsey’s “legend” status and made unfounded claims about his personal life and relationships, including his long-term partnership with Lauren London.
