Nissan is serving up a new electric vehicle with a hint of luxury, adding a sleek flair to sustainability.Â
Nissan is gearing up to unveil its 2023 Nissan Ariya electric vehicle this fall. This crossover vehicle serves as the company’s second all-electric car, arriving during a time when most automotive companies are slowly introducing environmentally friendly offerings within their fleets.
The Ariya is the long-awaited electric car that follows the Nissan Leaf, which debuted in 2011. Nissan announced the Ariya last year and offered deliveries to customers. However, after declaring pricing and even scheduling deliveries, the car was delayed.Â
Customers will have nine variations of the Ariya to choose from: Engage FWD, Venture+ FWD, Evolve+ FWD, Empower+ FWD, Premiere FWD, Engage e-4ORCE, Engage+ e-4ORCE, Evolve+ e-4ORCE, and Platinum+ e-4ORCE. The least expensive model is the Engage FWD, which starts at $43,190. Most models will include an 87 kWh battery. However, the Engage FWD and Engage e-4ORCE feature a 63 kWh battery.Â
At this time, reservations for the Ariya are closed, but that will soon change, given the demand for the EV. They will be available for purchase in late fall, though an exact month is unclear.
