Cynthia Bailey‘s daughter Noelle said she was “not sure” how fans of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” would take her coming out.
In 2019, Noelle Robinson, daughter of Bailey and actor Leon Robinson, came out to the world as sexually fluid during an episode of the reality TV series. During a taping of “Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen,” Cohen asked Robinson if it was “hard” for her to come out.
“It definitely was, and I was really kind of not sure what type of response I was going to get,” Robinson told Cohen.” But when I got an overwhelming amount of positive response [from fans], I was so happy that I did it.”
“I really did inspire other people that were kind of like, going through the same realizations that I was at the time. So I’m definitely happy I did it,” she added.
Robinson was having a heart-to-heart conversation with her mother when she shared how she felt about loving and dating people. “People try to box everyone in and put labels on everything, but I don’t really do that,” she told her mother during the episode. “I just like who I like, and that’s just what it is. There’s a lot of attractive guys, and there’s a lot of attractive girls.”
Robinson went on to say that she started exploring her sexuality when she was a freshman at Howard University. “It really just came out of nowhere. I wasn’t really expecting that to happen.”
