North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services announced that they will be providing $25 “Summer Cash” cards at select vaccination sites as part of an ongoing campaign to get more North Carolinians vaccinated.
The NCDHHS will begin providing cash rewards on Wednesday and will continue until June 8. The cards will be distributed at select vaccine sites in Mecklenburg, Guilford, Rowan, and Rockingham counties.
While supplies last, anyone 18 and older who receives their first dose of Covid-19 vaccine or drives anyone to get their shot will receive a $25 cash card.
According to the release, the cash cards are only for first-dose vaccines for both the vaccinated and the driver.
Gov. Roy Cooper said, “Vaccines are the key to emerging from this pandemic, and we must continue to do all that we can to get shots into arms.”
