While the world was all focused on Kendrick Lamar’s diss track aimed at Drake, North West quietly unveiled her debut music video as a director.
The “Talking” video dropped on YouTube Wednesday. It showcases North alongside her dad, Kanye West, and Ty Dolla $ign in the latest VULTURES project.
As you know, she also contributed some bars to the track, rapping: “I love it, yeah / We gonna take over the year for another year (talkin’) / It’s your bestie, Miss, Miss Westie (talkin’) / Don’t tryna test me (talkin’) / It’s gonna get messy.”
In the video, North is seen wearing a fur coat, hat, and oversized sunglasses while her friends are sporting VULTURES merch as they hang out on the roof of a Porsche.
At around the two-minute mark, Ty joins in for his part, rocking a similar all-black outfit and oversized sunglasses just like North’s.
Kanye took a step back in this video, letting North shine in the spotlight throughout, only briefly joining her for a sparring moment at the end.
Looks like North is set to take center stage this year, as we anticipate seeing more of her directorial skills in action.
