Twelve years later, Fox will finally air an unseen O.J. Simpson interview, Variety informs.
Hosted by Soledad O’Brien, ‘O.J. Simpson: The Lost Confession’ will feature key footage from Simpson’s infamous 2006 sit-down with Judith Regan to discuss his controversial book, “If I Did It.”
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The interview was originally axed due to criticism from the families of the victims, but it seems that the network has since been given the green light to broadcast the program. Allegedly, all relatives have approved its release.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
According to Fox, the special captures “no-holds-barred” commentary from Simpson, as he “offers a detailed—and disturbing—description of what might have happened on the fateful night of June 12th, 1994.”
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
As we all know, the former NFL running back was arrested in connection with the atrocious murders of his ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and her friend, Ron Goldman. However, he was later acquitted of those crimes.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
His trial was deemed the “Trial of the Century,” as it is still one of the most-followed trials of all time.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
‘O.J. Simpson: The Lost Confession’ will run on March 11th at 8:00 p.m., exclusively on Fox.
