Octavia Spencer Reteams Up With “The Help” Director For New Horror Film

Actress Octavia Spencer has been busy these last few years, as she is already an Oscar winner, currently in the running for another and is about reteam up with “The Help” director Tate Taylor for a spooky project.

This time Spencer is taking a shot at the horror genre and collaborating with Blumhouse Productions’ twisted thriller, ‘Ma.’

At the moment we don’t know much about the details of the film but Spencer will be playing a lonely woman who becomes friends with a group of teens but has insidious plans for them. The cast includes Diana Silvers, Corey Fogelmanis, McKaley Miller, Dante Brown, Gianni Paolo, Juliette Lewis and Luke Evans.

Scotty Landes (Workaholics) wrote the script. The script was then presented to Blumhouse and developed by VP Ryan Turek. Turek will also co-produce the film alongside Jason Blum and John Norris.
