Offset is clearing the air regarding why he was absent from Kai Cenat’s jail livestream.
If you recall, the popular streamer brought together a wide variety of internet personalities for a prison experience that was streamed for his followers. Druski and Chrisean Rock were present during the stream. Initially, there were talks that Offset would be partaking in the fun. However, once word got out that Cenat wasn’t a fan of Offset’s album, “Set It Off,” many believed that’s why the Migos star chose not to perform the stream. However, Set has revealed that Cenat’s review has nothing to do with his absence. Set says he is grateful that Cenat gave his honest opinion on the project.
“I didn’t do the jail thing because I really had to think about it. I really come from that. It’s really bros and homies struggling with that. It’s not really a game. It’s a serious thing. I understand content. I salute it; I just couldn’t be a part of that content because if ya’ll remember, I come from that,” Offset explained.
Throughout his career, Offset has endured his fair share of legal troubles. In 2015, he spent months in jail while his group Migos was blowing up. He was again arrested in 2018 for felony gun possession. Thankfully, he has been on the straight and narrow for some time now but says he has friends who are still incarcerated.
“I ain’t wanna answer to the bros,” Offset shares.
