Offset isn’t walking away from Cardi B without taking some of the lifestyle with him. The rapper just filed an amended divorce response asking the court to make Cardi pay him spousal support. While he didn’t specify how much, the message is clear, he wants that support check.
He’s still pushing for joint custody of their three kids, but interestingly, he’s fine with them staying primarily at Cardi’s home. The split has been slow-moving since Cardi first filed in August 2024.
At one point, Cardi defended Offset publicly, denying he was a deadbeat. But after explosive online arguments, including one where she said she didn’t care if he got hit by a truck, it’s clear the gloves are off.
Offset originally said they’d cover their own legal fees, but this new money move says otherwise. Cardi previously accused the Atlanta rapper of trying to get a chunk of her wealth in their split. Judging by this move, she was correct.
Offset has not commented publicly on the support request.
