An altercation inside a Las Vegas hookah lounge turned deadly Saturday morning after a shooting left one dead and 13 others injured.
Officers responded to reports of a shooting at a hookah lounge on East Sahara Avenue around 3:15 a.m. First responders located 14 gunshot victims upon arriving at the scene.Â
The victims were taken to UMC and Sunrise Hospitals, and one person was pronounced dead. Two people were listed in critical condition, and the other victims were listed as stable.Â
During a press conference held Saturday morning, police said the shooting occurred after a fight broke out between at least two men. As the parties exchanged gunfire, multiple people were struck.Â
“The suspects are currently outstanding, but I assure you that they will be caught,” Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Capt. Dori Koren said during the news conference.Â
Koren said that the total number of shooters is still unknown at this time. The shooting is still under investigation.Â
