Miami OnlyFans model Courtney Clenney was captured assaulting her boyfriend just two months before killing him.
On Thursday, Miami-Dade State Attorney Kathie Fernandez Rundle played the clip while she announced Clenney’s charges. Surveillance video from February 21 showed Clenney smashing elevator buttons before lashing out at Christian Obumseli.
“The defendant was aggressively attacking Christian,” Rundle said as the video played.
Clenney’s attorney, Frank Prieto, wasn’t too pleased with the surveillance video being shown.
“It’s a shame that the State Attorney’s Office is seeking to win this case in the court of public opinion by showing an irrelevant and likely inadmissible video of Courtney in an elevator getting physical with Obumseli. Obumseli was the abuser, the worst kind of abuser. He would manipulate and abuse Courtney in private when he thought no one was around,” Prieto said.
Clenney was arrested on Wednesday in Hawaii and is awaiting extradition to Florida. The arrest came after Obumseli’s family expressed outrage for Clenney not being charged. Days following the deadly incident, Clenney was spotted at a hotel bar getting drinks.
Clenney initially said stabbing her boyfriend was an act of “self-defense.” However, Obumseli’s family called BS and their lawyer, Larry Handfield, pressured the state attorney’s to reopen the case.
“We have every reason to believe his death was the result of unwarranted and unprovoked violence,” Obumseli’s brother said.
