Oprah Winfrey and Bishop T.D. Jakes made it crystal clear: they want no part of the headlines surrounding Diddy and his ongoing legal drama. The two powerhouses addressed the internet chatter during the Good Soil Forum in Dallas on Thursday, June 20th, pushing back on claims that they’ve ever been involved in the type of parties now under scrutiny in Diddy’s sex trafficking and racketeering case.

“I’ve never been near a Puff party,” Oprah stated to the audience. “And anybody who knows me knows if there is a party, I am the first one out.” The media mogul kept it brief, firm, and unbothered—like only Oprah can.
Bishop T.D. Jakes, who officially stepped down from leading The Potter’s House megachurch in April, added more context. “I stopped by one of his birthday parties for 30 minutes to say happy birthday. That’s it,” he said. Jakes has had to address these rumors multiple times, including during a 2023 sermon and again when his name was tied to online conspiracies in YouTube videos that led to him being subpoenaed.
He even shared that some rumors got so wild they included false claims about a romantic relationship with Diddy. Oprah reacted in disbelief: “You too?” Jakes, chuckling, replied, “Yes! I am almost 70 years old. What do I look like? And I am a grandfather.”
The conversation comes as testimonies in Diddy’s trial reveal new allegations nearly every day. One witness, identified as Jane Doe, testified that Diddy used to share his favorite sermon recordings, including some from Jakes, during his so-called “freak-off” gatherings. Meanwhile, Diddy’s alleged drug mule, Brendan Paul, recently testified that he procured erectile dysfunction meds for the Bad Boy boss.
