Oreo has a new flavor sure to touch the hearts of chocolate lovers everywhere.
Known as Blackout Cake, this new flavor does a great job of packing the taste of chocolate cake inside a bite-size cookie. This Oreo includes two layers of creme. The first of which will give foodies a “traditional” chocolate cake feel, with the second layer being the unmistakable flavor of dark cocoa.
Oreo gave fans a sneak peek of what would come in Tuesday’s Instagram post. The company shared a cryptic message with the caption, “Hint: you’ll definitely want a slice (or two).” Not long after, they shared another picture of a fudge cake decorated with Oreos.
Over the years, Oreo has constantly played around with different flavors, some of which have remained a permanent staple on shelves, while others disappeared after a few months. Oreo Birthday Cake, Oreo Mint Flavor, and Golden Oreo are just a few in the cookie brand’s extensive collection. In January, “The Most Oreo Oreo” took the world by storm, offering a chunky layer of cookies and creme-flavored filling. This thick cookie is sold out on the Oreo website, and Blackout Cake will likely follow in its footsteps.
The limited edition Oreo Blackout Cake will be available in grocery stores starting April 3rd. No official ending date for the latest delicacy has been announced, but customers wanting to try them shouldn’t waste a second grabbing a pack or two.
