Just a day after a judge finding him not guilty of premeditated murder, Oscar Pistorius has been found guilty of culpable homicide and guilty of one of the unrelated charges for unlawfully firing a gun in a public place.Â
The judge handed down the culpable homicide charge because she felt Pistorius was negligent and steps could have been taken to avoid shooting and killing his girlfriend. A culpable homicide charge in South Africa holds a maximum 15 year sentence with no minimum, so it will be interesting to see the sentence the judge offers him in a few weeks.Â
If you ask me, he got off easy.
