Saturday night, a shooting near Rutgers University in New Jersey left two dead and six others injured.
At 1:18 a.m., when police arrived at the scene on Delafield Street, they found eight victims with gunshot wounds, according to MyCentral Jersey. Two were later pronounced dead.
According to Rutgers Police Chief Kenneth Cop, “an unknown suspect fired several shots striking individuals at a house party.”
Very minimal information has been given about the suspect thus far.
Authorities have confirmed that the shooting had no affiliation with Rutgers or any of its students.
The investigation is currently ongoing and handled by New Brunswick Police.
