P. Diddy, aka Puff Daddy, most recently known as Brother Love, is back with another inspirational story about how he escaped the grips of cockroaches that flocked to his face in humbler times.
The Bad Boy Records founder and Sean John creator took to Instagram on Thursday to promote his Deleon tequila. The commercial found Diddy on a lavish island detailing his road to riches. In a similar tale as the one he told last year, the 52-year-old admitted that a gang of roaches motivated him to get a bag.
“Wakin’ up one day at my cousin’s house in the projects. When I woke up, I swear to God I had like fifteen roaches on my face. Don’t ask me how I know it was fifteen, but I promise you it was more than fifteen,” he stated. “I said ‘never again.'”
If you recall, Diddy described a similar run-in with roaches in 2021, stating that he knew he had to change his life when he woke up to multiple bugs covering his face. While it is unclear if these were the same roaches from that initial incident, it is good to see the “I Need a Girl” rapper has overcome his days living amongst the creepy critters.
