According to reports from the Minneapolis Star Tribune and KSTP-TV, autopsy results have revealed that the pain killer Percocet was found in Prince’s system. It was also discovered that Prince had a dangerously low red blood cell count, which indicates he may have been ill for some time.
The cause of Prince’s death remains undetermined and a spokesperson for the medical examiner’s office has declined to confirm the reports.
According to TMZ, law enforcement is looking into criminal activity as it pertains to Prince’s doctors. Allegedly Prince had prescriptions filled at least 4 times in the 7 days before his passing. Law enforcement is now investigating multiple doctors who may have overprescribed the meds, aliases Prince and his doctors may have used, and multiple pharmacies that filled the prescriptions.
