Panda Express Introduces Vegan Orange Chicken

Panda Express has officially launched the first vegan option on its menu: meatless orange chicken.

As more and more people are moving toward veganism and plant-based lifestyles, restaurants are picking up on the hint and adapting to specific consumers’ wants and needs. Enter Panda Express’s plant-based orange chicken brought to you as a partnership with Beyond Meat.

The meat-less chicken will be tossed in the restaurant’s popular Orange chicken sauce – which is also vegan, Fox 29 reports.

Panda Express isn’t the only restaurant working with Beyond Meat. Companies like KFC have also jumped in partnership with the vegan-friendly brand. Other food giants like Starbucks and McDonald’s have also brought plant-based and vegan options to their menus.

McDonald’s will be testing out the “McPlant” in the future, and Starbucks introduced its Impossible Breakfast Sandwich, which features a plant-based breakfast patty and cage-free eggs.
