An 11-year-old girl gave birth to her 17-year-old brother’s child, and now he and their parents are being charged.
The young girl, who is not named, gave birth in a bathtub in St. Charles, Missouri, and her father brought the premature baby to the hospital with the umbilical cord still attached, claiming it was his and it was dropped off at his porch by an ex-girlfriend, NBC News reported.
He later admitted the child was his daughter’s and fathered by her brother but said he did not know she was sexually abused. The brother admitted to having sex with his sister at least 100 times but said he did not know she was pregnant.
The brother has been charged with incest, statutory rape and statutory sodomy of a person younger than 12. Her parents were charged with child endangerment for not providing her with medical care after she gave birth.
All three are being held in jail with bail set at $10,000 for the mother, $100,000 cash only for the father and $300,000 cash only for the 17-year-old, according to court records.
The girl is in the care of relatives while the baby remains in the hospital.
