The parents of Joycelyn Savage are worried that R. Kelly’s recent arrest may inspire a suicide pact between their daughter and another woman living with the singer, Azriel Clay.
When the feds raided R. Kelly’s apartment at Trump Tower Chicago on Thursday, neither Savage or Clay were present, and TMZ reports that the two haven’t been seen since the singer’s arrest.
The Savage family lawyer, Gerald Griggs believes that R. Kelly’s team had the women relocated to an undisclosed location in Chicago amidst the media frenzy and their attempts to contact Joycelyn have been to no avail.
With Kelly facing a number of federal charges in both New York and Illinois, including racketeering, sex trafficking and obstruction, the Savage family believes that their daughter and Clay may take their own lives if he isn’t released.
When it comes to how they feel about their daughter’s “unhealthy” relationship with R. Kelly, the parents of Joycelyn Savage have made it clear that they won’t stop speaking out until their daughter comes back home. They have even threatened to file a missing person’s report with the police if they aren’t able to locate her.
Despite claims of an alleged suicide pact, Clay’s parents don’t believe the two plan on hurting themselves. They claim that the women aren’t missing, but are actually in another apartment in the Trump Tower, which was in Azriel’s name.
