PARTYNEXTDOOR has ignited fresh drama in the music world by targeting Chris Brown, Jeremih, and Bryson Tiller on Twitter over their new collaboration “Wait On It.” The Canadian artist took issue with the trio for featuring his ex-girlfriend, Desma, in the music video.
In a series of now-deleted tweets, PARTYNEXTDOOR didn’t hold back his frustration. “I’m finna make these n***as cry… Bryson, Chris, and Jeremih… enjoy the nights of your life. Doing videos at 34, that b***h broke. I know 5 rnb singers who broke,” one of his tweets read. He also boasted about having $40 million in the bank.
Interestingly, this comes just after PARTYNEXTDOOR brought Jeremih out at his concert on June 27, indicating that the two had previously squashed their beef. It’s unclear how much Brown and Tiller were involved in the decision to feature Desma in the video, but the situation has certainly created tension.
Chris Brown didn’t stay silent and quickly responded to PARTYNEXTDOOR’s outburst. “Niggas speak without thinking sometimes… then call around to my people trying to retract shit. NAW NIGGA, go on your socials and apologize or keep that same energy when you see me,” he wrote.
PARTYNEXTDOOR’s motivations behind his tweets are speculative, but it seems likely they stem from seeing Desma in the “Wait On It” music video. Amid the drama, PARTY also shared some insights into his unique vocal techniques, revealing that he uses vodka for a raspier tone and almost-boiling water for a purer tone.
Whether this feud will escalate or simmer down remains to be seen. As PARTYNEXTDOOR navigates his feelings about the music video and potentially other industry beefs, fans are left wondering what will happen next. Will he continue to address his R&B rivals or shift focus to other challenges, such as supporting his OVO partner Drake in ongoing disputes? Only time will tell.
