A Tulsa pastor has gone viral on Twitter after rubbing spit on a churchgoer’s face during a service on Sunday.
Mike Todd, the lead pastor at Transformation Church, is seen spitting in his hand and rubbing it all over a man’s face during his sermon.
In the video located on the church’s Youtube page, Todd is demonstrating the idea that “receiving a vision from God might get nasty.”
Many people in the audience are heard letting out prolonged “ewws” or “oh my gosh,” in surprise and disgust. The pastor explained: “And this is where most people would not face Jesus anymore. What most people would do is turn away.”
The pastor continued: “How you just reacted is how the people in your life will react when God is doing what it takes for the miracle.”
The man in the video is Todd’s brother, according to TMZ.
Pastor Todd has been criticized by many Twitter users, questioning his bizarre, non-Covid friendly sermon practices.
“Had never heard of ‘Pastor’ Mike Todd before today. But I truly understand now why the elders used to frequently tell us that we’re in the last days,” tweeted sports journalist Jemele Hill.

One person on Twitter labeled the spectacle “disgusting” and “sinister,” while another user described his behavior as “cult-ish.”
“At this point, if you’re still following Mike Todd … you lack critical thinking skills and discernment cause THAT disgusting mess is unforgivable. It would be disgusting to me at normal times nut in a pandemic it’s almost sinister,” the tweet reads.

“If your pastor rubs spit on your face “looking at you, Mike Todd), find a new pastor,” tweeted Rev. Dr. Church Currie.

Todd has served as lead pastor at Transformation Church in Oklahoma since 2015.
He was entrusted with his wife Natalie Todd, also lead pastor at the church, by the founder Gary McIntosh after 15 years of operation.
The two have hosted the sermon series Relationship Goals, which spanned for over two years and gained 6million views.
Author Candice Maire Benbow tweeted: “Michael Todd is theologically dangerous, culturally irresponsible, and batshit crazy. But he ain’t dumb because he’d never spit on one of those White evangelicals who fund him. But he’ll be fine. As long as he got folks hype about relationship goals, he’ll be fine.
