Pastor Tony Spell is completely immune to the law.
The Louisiana pastor defied authorities by holding another crowded church service- despite being on “house arrest.”
According to TMZ, Spell blatantly displayed his ankle bracelet to his congregation during Sunday’s service, telling his followers that it was a shame that people have to “hide.” He proudly told all those in attendance, “I’m not hiding anymore.”
Pastor Spell was fitted with an ankle bracelet after he failed to ensure to the court that he’d follow social distancing protocol that is currently in effect.
Central Police announced six misdemeanor charges against Spell in late March– one for each church service he allegedly held against governor’s orders amid the coronavirus lockdowns.
Last week, he was booked again – this time for allegedly backing up a church bus towards a protester.
Spell told congregants who’ve attended services to refrain from touching each other and to stay home if they’re sick.
“God gave you an immune system to kill the virus,” Spell told his flock Sunday morning. “I’m not going to bind the virus,” he said.
