Peep this. Peeps marshmallow candies are making a comeback just in time for Easter.
On January 15, Peeps hinted in a tweet that consumers wouldn’t have to wait much longer to munch on the goodies. Due to the pandemic, the company didn’t put out any product for the holidays. But, in celebration of Jesus Christ’s rising, Peeps is heading back to store shelves. “You won’t have to wait much longer! Keep your PEEPers peeled,” said the caption on the company’s tweet.
An Instagram page called Candy Funhouse also announced the news, showing an array of Peeps flavors, including Party Cake, Cotton Candy, Sour Watermelon, and Hot Tamales. And aren’t into the candy, you can always rely on the Peeps-flavored coffee creamer, cereal, or Slurpee.
The candies will make their debut before Easter Sunday on April 4, but AllRecipes.com says they might even arrive before Mardi Gras.
