Three-Year-Old Mikel Fetterman tragically lost his life after being taken to a local hospital for “life-saving measures.”
Mikel lived with his mother, Teresa Fetterman, and her 31-year-old boyfriend, Keith Lilly Jr. Fetterman told police that on March 26, her three-year-old was left in the care of Lilly while she was asleep.

Lilly told police that the little boy had fallen off the couch and was given Tylenol before he was found unresponsive, which led to the 9-1-1 call.
According to the doctors, Mikel showed signs of both longterm physical abuse and suspected sexual abuse. Authorities say that the boy was covered in new and old bruises and had suffered from a skull fracture.
April 24, Mikel Fetterman succumbed to his injuries. The autopsy report shows that Fetterman died from blunt force trauma to the head, according to WTAE.
Shannell Felton, a neighbor, reported that things seemed off a week before the little boy hospitalized. “A week before this happened, we seen he had two black eyes, and then that’s when my sister called Children Youth Services, and nothing was done.”
Police say that Children Youth Services are conducting their own investigation in the death of Mikel Fetterman.
The boy’s mother has been charged with involuntary manslaughter, aggravated assault, and endangering the welfare of a child.
Meanwhile, her boyfriend has been charged with homicide. He faces two counts of aggravated assault, one count of endangering the welfare of children and one count of recklessly endangering another person.
