A Pennsylvania school security guard was arrested for allegedly sexually abusing a teen girl.
Last week, police arrested 35-year-old L’Toray Hill, who worked at Walnut Street Elementary School in Darby, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer. Police booked Hill for allegedly sexually abusing a now 19-year-old teen girl. The teen says she met Hill when she was eight and in third grade at Walnut Elementary, The New York Post reports. She says she saw him as a “father figure,” an obtained affidavit states.
The affidavit goes on to state Hill told the girl she was “his wife and his girl,” and said “you’re all mine” and “no one else can have you.” He allegedly told the child at the time that he would marry her. When she was 14, Hill tried to kiss her, she rejected. When she turned 16, she worked at a camp where Hill was a counselor. During their time there, Hill molested her on a bus trip home from Jersey Shore, the court document states.
“I kept my distance until it was time, when you were older, then I would feel comfortable enough to tell you how I feel,” the man allegedly told the teen, according to local news station KYW-TV. At the age of 16, the victim says she and Hill began a “dating situation,” which included sexual intercourse. The illegal relationship went on for more than a year. The outlet reports that the two would have sexual relations on school district properties.
The teen says she called off the relationship in November 2018 because Hill started getting “too controlling and jealous.”
William Penn School District initially suspended Hill with pay and said he was “without access to [d]istrict resources, pending investigation of these allegations.” He’s now been charged with three counts of institutional sexual assault, indecent assault with a person less than 16 years old, and related offenses. He was released from jail after posting 10 percent of his $75,000 bail. Hill is scheduled to appear in a preliminary hearing on Feb. 3.
