Pepa of Salt-N-Pepa is suing Uber after she claims that a car crash left her with not only injuries but a loss of wages as a result of a 2018 car wreck.
In court docs obtained by TMZ, Pepa, whose real name is Sandra Denton, claims she was traveling in a friend’s car on L.A.’s 101 freeway when an Uber driver, who was following too closely behind, could not stop in time to avoid hitting Pep’s car, which then caused a chained reaction. The Uber driver and other drivers “operated their vehicle negligently and carelessly.”
Pepa is suing the ride-share company along with one of its drivers and the drivers of 3 other vehicles involved in the crash. The 53-year-old claims that the crash left her with neck and knee pain, for which she later required medical attention. Sources even claim the Grammy winner continues to suffer intense pain that often makes her sick during and after stage performances.
Uber has not yet responded to the lawsuit.
