PETA strikes again! The animal rights organization is now coming for Jack Harlow for his “Churchill Downs” video.
The organization accuses Harlow of profiting off of animal abuse and claims he was “glamorizing horse racing.” They also say Harlow was “missing the whips, drugs, and deaths that run rampant in the industry” in his visual.
PETA asks for Harlow to correct his mistakes by donating cash to the organization that cares for the horses. According to the PETA, the thoroughbreds are often sent away to be slaughtered.
They added that three racehorses die on U.S. tracks every day. The group also claims 7,500 Thoroughbreds are exported to be slaughtered every year.
Harlow and Drake filmed the visual for their “Churchill Downs” song at the Kentucky Derby. The video also included Harlow’s comedian friend, Druski, who says the video was a milestone for Harlow.
“This video was one for the books,” he wrote on his Instagram Story. “So inspirational to see Jack bring some of the biggest stars to his city & Kentucky to show us so much, love.”
While the video and experience may have been great, Harlow says he ultimately lost a lot of money during the annual horse race.
“I did. I lost a lot of money,” Harlow said to the 85 South Comedy Show. “I just told Drake I would bet what he bet, so I copied him.”
