Peter Gunz has found himself a new gig. In fact, the “Uptown Baby” rapper is more than qualified. Gunz will be bringing his expertise to the hit infidelity investigative series, “Cheaters,” where he will serve as host, helping suspicious lovers catch their significant others cheating red-handed.
Most people know Gunz for his messy relationship antics on “Love & Hip Hop: New York,” where his love triangle with baby mamas Tara Wallace and Amina Buddafly played out for the world to see. This firsthand experience was likely why Gunz was chosen as the new host. The 51-year-old was also tasked with recreating the show’s theme song.
“I’m going to go at it a little different,” Gunz told BOSSIP. “A little more street…For 15 years they had what they had, I’m going to bring a little more realness to the show.”
Gunz revealed that he wants to have a lasting impact on the show’s participants.
“My goal is not just to bust people cheating,” Gunz revealed. “I want to help people get into therapy and try to change relationships. I’m not here to mess up people’s happy homes, especially after all the s**t I did.”
Gunz also revealed that both Tara and Amina are supportive of his new job, partially because the ladies will receive a piece of the pie.
“My exes are extremely supportive of it,” he joked. “They’re not mad about it. They think it fits me and they’ll get 80 percent of (the salary). I’m not joking.
