Well, it looks like you could definitely add NFL player Chris Long to the list of those who won’t be attending the White House anytime soon.
In fact, the Philadelphia Eagles defensive end actually told Barstool Sports’ “Pardon My Take” podcast that even a Super Bowl win couldn’t prompt him to pay a visit to the 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue NW estate… and he seemed to be pretty serious about it.
However, this isn’t the first time that Long has opted out of the White House visit. Previously, he declined an invitation to go with the New England Patriots after he won last year’s Super Bowl with the team.

“My son grows up, and I believe the legacy of our president is going to be what it is, I don’t want him to say, ‘Hey, dad. Why’d you go [to the White House] when you knew the right thing was to not go?” He expressed to Green Stripe News, explaining his reason for not attending.

Now, this year’s Super Bowl LII is coming up on Sunday, and—despite the tradition of the winning team visiting the president’s abode, Long is sure that if the Eagles take home the championship, his teammates will be making that trip to Washington, D.C. on their own.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
When asked by the “Pardon My Take” hosts if his decision had changed, he says, “No! No, I’m not going to the White House. Are you kidding me?”

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Clearly, Long isn’t too much of a Trump fan… at all.

Who could blame him, though?
