Phoenix Suns owner Mat Ishbia is making strides to enhance the fan experience at Footprint Center by incorporating discount-priced concessions. Ishbia announced the new menu on Wednesday and stated that hot dogs and popcorn will now cost $2 at all of the Suns home games.
“Winning starts with our fans,” Ishbia shared on X (formerly Twitter). “When I walk the concourse at games, there aren’t food options for families who don’t want to spend a lot of money. That needs to change, so today we’re rolling out our $2 value menu for all home Suns games.”
Additionally, Ishbia mentioned the noticeable differences between the adjustments. In the past, an average family of four spent $98 on popcorn, water, and hot dogs. However, following the change, that same order will cost $24.

“Our fans and community are the foundation of what we do,” Ishbia added. “We will continue to invest in making this the best organization in all of basketball, on and off the court.”
Following Ishbia’s announcement, the news was met with excitement, especially since inflation has increased tremendously. One X user responded to Ishbia’s post saying, “Cannot express how awesome this is. Mat, can you please encourage other owners to do the same? Let sports be affordable again. Let families go to games and not break the bank.”
His statement always received some praise from Suns’ head coach Mike Budenholzer, who jokingly gave his approval.
“I think it’s great,” Budenholzer said. “More value for the fans. I might ask Mat [Ishbia] how come it’s not $3 so that we can shoot more 3s, but in this case, 2s are good!”
