Dr. Shane McKinney has been arrested following a Racist attack on a Black Southern University Student-Athlete. According to the Baton Rouge Police Department, The 54-Year-Old doctors were arrested Wednesday on charges of battery.
The incessant took place on Tuesday at around 6:55 p.m. McKinney physically and verbally assaulted the female victim. According to LSU’s school officials, the attack was racially motivated.
“We are aware of a reported off-campus verbal and physical assault involving a female Southern University student-athlete and a bystander. We believe the incident was racially motivated and are wholly and completely focused on the safety and well-being of our student-athletes.” Southern’s athletic director Roman Banks said.
In True American fashion, Louisiana police claim that there is no evidence proving racial injustice. Dr. Shane McKinney practices at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. The hospital suspended McKinney and released the following statement.
“We don’t tolerate hate, racism, or violence by any member of our organization against another person. The allegations placed against one of our physicians are being taken care of seriously. McKinney has been placed on administrative leave pending a thorough internal investigation. Based on the outcome of our investigation, we may consider further action. We place the well-being of our patients, teams, and community at the forefront of everything we do.”
