Ever since Plies reposted the video of Young Thug’s daughter being “mothaf*ckin tied” on Instagram, the two rappers have been at odds. Young Thug previously addressed the beef with Sway Calloway a few weeks ago, saying that he mainly took issue with Plies using “bih” in the caption of the video, and that he will slap Plies when he sees him. This week Plies sat down with Complex Magazine, where he too was asked about the beef and Thug threatening to slap him sight.
“First of all, I don’t play with a certain tier of artist,” said Plies. “I don’t play with a certain tier of artists, like you trying to get poppin and shit. I don’t fuck with lower tier artists, I just don’t.”
When asked why he puts Young Thug on a lower tier, the Florida rapper refers back to Thug’s “I’m Up” album only selling 10,000 in its first week. He then goes on to add, “Don’t you go back and forth with a muthaf*cka that ain’t on your level.”
Young Thug, of course, caught wind of Plies’ comments and took to Twitter to address them. “uma millionaire pussy boy And I bought my whole family CARS/HOUSES HAVE U LIL NIGGA,” Thug tweeted. go check the numbers pussy, I got way more HITS then u could ever have…. And u twice my age. Bag yo old ass up.”
Thug completed his address to Plies by taking it back to what started it all. “U disrespect kids f*ck boy, nobody f*cks with that type… ALWAYS REMEMBER…. IM UP!”
While it’s no doubt that Young Thug is clearly in his moment now, especially with a cosign from Kanye West earlier this week, do you really think he’s got more hits than Plies’ overall discography?
