Wednesday morning, Plies was arrested and booked on a felony after a gun was found in his carry-on bag at a Florida airport.
According to TMZ, the incident occurred at Tampa International Airport, as the rapper went through security ahead of his Delta flight. Law enforcement sources say as Plies’ bag went through the checkpoint, TSA agents found a Glock 43 in one of his bags, accompanied by a fully-loaded magazine.
As a result, the rapper was arrested and booked for carrying a concealed weapon.
In the meantime, sources close to Plies say the entire ordeal is a big misunderstanding, as the rapper mistakenly grabbed the wrong bag before heading to the airport. He also admitted that the gun was his, as he is a registered gun owner.
However, TMZ reports the rapper did not have a permit for the gun.
