Plies Calls for “Black Women’s Day” if Kamala Harris Wins For President

Rapper Plies took to X with a bold suggestion for Kamala Harris if she wins the presidency.

“@KamalaHarris When U Win This Election. U Better Sign An Executive Order & Create A ‘Black Women’s Day’ & Make It A National Holiday!” he wrote. “B/c What The Black Woman Has Done For The Democratic Party & This Country. Can No Longer Be Unappreciated!! (It’s The Least The Democrats Can Do).”

The holiday might actually happen, as more than two million members of Black Greek-letter organizations, known as the “Divine Nine,” are rallying to support Harris.

As an Alpha Kappa Alpha member, Harris stands to gain significant backing from this united front.

With strong backing from the Divine Nine and public calls like Plies’, the idea of a “Black Women’s Day” could gain serious momentum.
