Plies has officially withdrawn his copyright infringement lawsuit against Megan Thee Stallion, GloRilla, Cardi B, and Soulja Boy.
The lawsuit, which was originally filed last November, accused the artists of sampling his song “Me and My Goons” without permission in GloRilla’s track “Wanna Be.”
On Friday, Plies voluntarily dismissed the case without prejudice, meaning he could potentially refile it in the future. However, it’s unclear if he reached a private settlement with the artists or simply decided to walk away from the legal battle.
Neither Plies nor the defendants have publicly commented on the decision. For now, it looks like the dispute over “Wanna Be” has come to an end; at least in the courtroom.
