Police Arrest Man Connected to Fatal Shooting of Mother of Young Thug’s Son

A man has been arrested in connection to the fatal shooting of LaKevia Jackson, the mother of one of Young Thug’s children.

25-year-old Joshua Fleetwood was taken into custody Thursday for his alleged involvement in the bowling alley shooting, 11 Alive reports. Police believe Fleetwood is the gunman and used ballistic evidence and surveillance footage to connect him to the March 17 shooting. He was arrested on felony warrants of murder, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, police said.

“We are happy that Mr. Fleetwood is in our custody,” said the Atlanta Police Department’s homicide commander Ralph Woolfolk. “This was simply an escalated dispute, as depicted on video.”

LaKevia’s mother previously told reporters she was at Atlanta’s Metro Fun Center celebrating with friends when at one point, an argument broke out over a bowling ball and the gunman waited for her in the parking lot.
