A 34-year-old man is accused of stealing a Frito-Lay truck in Oklahoma City and leading police on a chase.
Joshua Karpe, 34, stole the company’s truck after the driver stopped for gas and went inside.
“I would love to know the motivation of stealing a truck that’s very, very easy to spot and doesn’t go very fast,” Capt. Jeff Spruill of the Oklahoma City Police told KFOR.com.
“What do you think you’re going to do with a truck like that?” he asked, considering the large logo on the side of the truck, which makes it easier for police to spot.
Authorities pursued the stolen vehicle through three counties, the New York Post reported. The vehicle was stolen from Oklahoma City but traveled 90 minutes north to Enid.
Deputies shot at the truck’s tires, but Karpe kept going.
At one point, the vehicle was traveling so slow that the town’s local police drove alongside it and ask Karpe to get out of the truck, Enid News & Eagle reported.
He was arrested without incident.
