Miami Police Find Body Of Missing Man Who Jumped Off Yacht in Biscayne Bay

The body of a man who vanished after jumping into Biscayne Bay from a yacht has been found by the Miami Police Department.

Officers discovered the body of 21-year-old Enoch Tong in the water near the Rusty Pelican with the help of the Miami Fire Department, Coral Gables Police Department, and Miami Police Marine Patrol Units.
The U.S. Coast Guard offered its condolences to Tong’s family and friends on Twitter.
On Saturday night, police said Tong jumped into Biscayne Bay after jumping off a yacht, where dive teams searched for his body.
“We do know that his friends did throw life preservers they tried to help him, but unfortunately, the current was just too strong,” said Lieutenant Pete Sanchez with City of Miami Fire Rescue.
In a statement, Sanchez offered tips to boaters.

“We don’t know the circumstances of who they were with or the experience, but always be out with experienced boaters,” he said.  “It’s a very unfortunate situation because someone today has lost their life when they were just trying to enjoy a beautiful weekend out of the city of Miami.”
