A man in Los Angeles followed a teen girl on the train and bus before raping her.
Police are looking for a man who followed a 16-year-old girl traveling on the train and a bus. Eventually, he attacked her and raped her in a Los Angeles parking lot, ABC 7 reports. Police say the male attacked the teen on Sunday around 9 p.m.
Both the teen and the rapist were riding the same train from downtown Long Beach. They were not together and did not know one another. When the teen exited the train, she got on a bus, and the man – who is described as a 35-year-old Black male – followed her.
He continued to follow her after she got off on Vernon Avenue and San Pedro Street. The man then went up to the teen from behind and grabbed her by the neck. “The suspect forced the victim to a parking lot of an apartment building where he threatened to kill her and then raped her.”
Police added that the man is about 6 feet 2 inches tall and weighs about 200 pounds with a muscular build. He has black locs and brown eyes; he was last seen wearing a white shirt with black pants, ABC 7 reports.
Police are asking that anyone with information call the LAPD Juvenile Division at 213-486-0570. Additionally, people can reach out to LA Regional Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (800-222-8477).
