Police have named 22-year-old Robert “Bobby” Crimo III a person of interest in Monday’s Highland Park, Illinois shooting that left six people dead and a dozen others injured.
The man is believed to be driving a silver 2010 Honda Fit, with Illinois license plate DM80653.
Local spokesperson Chris Covelli said Crimo should be considered armed and dangerous.
“Communities should not approach him. If they see him, know his whereabouts, see the vehicle, dial 911. We are considering him very dangerous,” Covelli said.
Officials said a rifle was recovered from the scene that is believed to have been used in the shooting.
At least six people were killed and 26 others were transported to a local hospital after a gunman opened fire at a Fourth of July parade in Highland Park, a suburb about 25 miles outside of Chicago.
