New details have emerged surrounding “1,000-Lb Sisters” star Amy Slaton and her boyfriend’s arrest. According to Crockett County Sheriff’s Department, Slaton herself was bitten by a camel, leading to the discovery of drugs in her vehicle and subsequent charges of possession and child endangerment. Her boyfriend, Brian Scott Lovvorn, was also arrested on the scene.
According to authorities, Slaton, 36, received medical attention for the camel bite at the scene. During this time, officers noticed the smell of marijuana coming from her car. Upon further inspection, they discovered what appeared to be marijuana and psychedelic mushrooms inside the vehicle.
Both Slaton and Lovvorn were subsequently arrested and charged with illegal possession of a Schedule I substance (mushrooms), illegal possession of a Schedule VI substance (marijuana), and two counts of child endangerment. The children, ages 4 and 2, were present during the incident.
Slaton and Lovvorn remain in custody on $10,000 bond each. It has not yet been confirmed whether they have retained legal representation or entered a plea.
Following the arrests, Slaton’s two sons were placed in the care of family members, and the Tennessee Department of Child Services will investigate their current situation. The Sheriff’s Department stated that no one else was injured in the camel bite incident.
Slaton, who recently divorced her ex-husband Michael Halterman, has been a fixture on the reality show 1,000-Lb. Sisters. She has often shared her experiences as a mother alongside her sister, Tammy.
