According to TMZ, NYPD officials are closing in on Quavo in the wake of the nightclub brawl after the Grammys.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Sources tell the publication that officials have contacted Quavo’s lawyer to inform him that they have collected enough evidence to arrest his client.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
However, Drew Findling maintains his client is innocent in the situation, despite the alleged victim naming Quavo as the assailant in the assault.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
If you recall, the Migos rapper was accused of beating up Eric the Jeweler after he approached Quavo about Offset’s $10k jewelry debt. The jeweler claimed Quavo and another man jumped him and snatched his $30k chain in the process.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Although an arrest warrant has yet to be issued, TMZ reports that it’s only a matter of time before Quavo is booked for the incident. In the meantime, Findling believes “this is yet another example of a young African-American hip hop star potential[ly] being treated unfairly by the criminal justice system.”
