A man in Georgia has been arrested after he was accused of disguising as a priest to rape women.
Officers from the Dunwoody Police Department are looking for 46-year-old Marco Aries Johnson on suspicion that he’s been targeting and raping women while posing as a priest. Fox News reports Johnson would select women waiting near bus stops as his victims and then give them a fake story about how he’s a “priest of EFY religion and a spiritual reader.”
EFY comes from the Church of the Latter-Day Saints, and it stands for Especially For Youth, and it’s the name of the schooling young Mormons receive.
In a statement about the case, the police department said: “Johnson then brings the women to an apartment in Dunwoody, beats them, and sexually assaults them.”
Police say Johnson drives a black Toyota Camry with the Georgia license plate CCQ3983. He’s described as being a Black man who is roughly 170 pounds and 5-feet-7-inches tall. He’s reportedly also been seen in Georgia in Chamblee and Doraville.
There are no details on how many women he’s attacked and abused, but police are looking for any information and are asking that people contact Detective Ehlbeck at 678-382-6925 or email him at [email protected].
