Pooh Shiesty is back in federal custody, and this time the situation just got bigger with his father now tied into the same case.
The Memphis rapper, born Lontrell D. Williams Jr., was arrested in Dallas on Wednesday in connection with what law enforcement sources described as a “federal criminal case,” according to TMZ. The arrest came on the same day FBI agents carried out a raid on a Memphis-area home linked to his family, confirming earlier questions about who authorities were targeting.
According to law enforcement sources, agents were executing “a federal court-authorized search and arrest warrant,” and it has now been confirmed that Shiesty was the person taken into custody during that operation. While federal authorities have not released specific charges, the coordinated timing across states points to a broader investigation already in motion.
At the same time, Shiesty’s father, Lontrell Williams Sr., was also arrested in Memphis. Officials have not clarified his alleged role or whether the cases are directly connected beyond timing.
This latest development lands just months after Shiesty returned home from prison. He previously served more than five years tied to a 2020 Florida shooting case and had been navigating supervised release conditions, including placement in a residential reentry program in Dallas.
What was this a bad remake of Good Fellas! There are other means of being released from your contract this wasn’t it anything could have happened and it cause someone to lose their life! This sad for so many reasons other than the trauma this caused but the legacy that could have been achieved by this young man for his family, he had a platform to bring positivity to youth but chose the latter!
