Rapper Pooh Shiesty has surrendered to authorities for his involvement in a shooting that took place in Miami over Memorial Day weekend. The rapper was taken into custody Tuesday afternoon on an aggravated battery charge.
Miami-Dade police say the incident happened at King of Diamonds strip club back on May 30.
According to a police report, officers were called to the strip club around 4 AM for a shooting. Witnesses told police that security guards were escorting Pooh out of the building when an altercation between Pooh and security staff ensued. Apparently, the dispute was over money that had fallen out of Pooh’s pockets. Things got heated, and the “Back in Blood” rapper took out his gun and fired a round towards the ground. The fired round hit a security guard in the ankle causing him to be transported to the hospital.
Just a few weeks ago, surfaced footage stirred rumors that Pooh was robbed of $40,000 during the strip club appearance, however, he took to Instagram to dispel the rumors. The surfaced footage also appears to show the crowd appearing to scatter after the alleged shot rang off.
Pooh is currently being held in a Miami-Dade County correctional facility facing aggravated battery charges. The 21-year-old was being held without bond.
