Pooh Shiesty has been ordered held without bond in a federal detention center pending trial on charges that he participated in the shooting of two men during a sale of marijuana and designer sneakers eight months ago.
According to Local 10, Miami U.S. Magistrate Judge Edwin G. Torres ordered the 21-year-old rapper to be held without bond for his role in the incident on October 9, 2020.
Pooh Shiesty, whose real name is Lontrell D. Williams, and two others allegedly shot at the men for the high-end sneakers and marijuana after agreeing to meet in Miami to make the sale.
Williams, along with 21-year-old Bobby Brown of Memphis, Tennessee, and 20-year-old Jayden Darosa of Pembroke Pines, Florida, allegedly drove to a Bay Harbor Islands hotel to buy marijuana and a pair of designer sneakers from the two victims, but somehow it turned into a robbery.
Authorities claim that the three men shot the sellers with semi-automatic weapons during this transaction and robbed the men of the drugs and footwear before fleeing the scene. Thankfully both victims survived the shooting.
Williams, Brown, and Darosa have each been charged with multiple counts, including one count of conspiring to possess firearms in furtherance of a crime of violence, conspiring to commit a Hobbs Act robbery, committing a Hobbs Act robbery, and discharging a firearm in furtherance of a crime of violence.
Shiesty and Darosa are being detained in a federal detention center without bond pending their trials. Brown’s first appearance in Miami federal court yet to be scheduled.
