The investigation into the death of Brooklyn rapper Pop Smoke is not going as well as authorities had hoped.
According to TMZ, police are having great difficulty making progress with the rapper’s murder investigation because witnesses are merely refusing to cooperate, and the info that those who are willing to talk provide- is sketchy at best.
The sources claim that among the potential witnesses that have spoken to cops, most have either changed their stories or are provably untrue. Also, because nobody was outside or nearby the house where Pop Smoke was killed when the crime occurred, cops have no neutral witnesses.
The Brooklyn born rapper who was killed on the west coast is making the investigation bi-coastal and causing authorities to have a hard time tracking down potential witnesses.
The sources also revealed to TMZ that even though police believe the murder was a targeted hit, they are struggling to find a motive.
